48H FILM PROJECT Utrecht - scenario writing
A scenariowriter asked me if I wanted to join his team and write a filmscript for the 48Hour Film Project in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He wanted to write a scenario about fugitives, and luckily for us, that turned out to be the assigned theme/character that each team got from the jury. Unfortunately he had already booked enough actors, so this time I decided to join the team as assistent scenariowriter.
The 48 Hour Film Project is a contest in which teams of filmmakers are assigned a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue, and have 48 hours to create a short film containing those elements. Shortly after the 48 hours of filmmaking, the films from each city are then screened at a theater in that city.
We were nominated by the jury for "Best use of line" - the assigned line was: "These borders are only in your mind". And in the category "People's choice award" we became fifth.
We made the film with an international filmcrew and wrote the scenario in English. A wonderful experience to be part of! To watch the film click here.
